This dad takes his daughter on ‘dates’ and some people are not OK with it

'It’s become a tradition.'

Where do you stand?

Lots of us will have fond memories of things we did with our parents when we were younger, but the internet is questioning one family’s weekly activity.

Mum Caitlin Fladager from Vancouver shared on Twitter that her husband and her young daughter have developed a tradition of going on ‘dates’ together.

He brings her flowers, helps her get dressed up and they go out for a treat, she wrote.

It’s always lovely to see a parent putting in one-on-one time with a child and lots of girls and women will know that the bond between dads and their daughters is a special one.

Many who saw Caitlin’s tweet thought it was a cute idea and that it would stand to her daughter when she’s older.

However, some on Twitter thought the idea was inappropriate, with some even going as far as to call it creepy.

We have to admit that while there should be nothing exceptional about a father spending time with his child, we think this dad is simply trying to bond with his daughter and develop her self esteem – no bad thing in our books.
