The ingredients you need…
- 8 fresh plums, halved, stones removed
- 4 fresh Keelings Irish bramley apples, peeled, cored and chopped in wedges
- Splash of water
- 4 tbsp caster sugar
- Pinch of cinnamon powder
- 100g butter, softened
- 100g plain flour
- 100g brown sugar
- 100g of porridge oats
- Pinch of cinnamon
How to make it…
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F/ Gas 6. Place the plum halves, skin side down, in the base of a large heatproof dish. Add the apple wedges and a splash of water. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon and roast in the hot oven for ten minutes.
2. Meanwhile to make the crumble topping: place the butter, flour, sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and rub the butter into the mixture until you have the rough crumbs. When you remove the half-stewed fruit from the oven cover lightly with crumble topping. Bake for 15 minutes until the top is golden brown.
3. Serve with custard, cream or Ice cream
