Customers are asked to return the product.

Aldi has recalled one of their cooking products – Madagascan Vanilla Extract. The product is actually Moroccan Almond Extract but was incorrectly labelled. The company is worried about the allergy risk of the mislabeled product and has asked for it to be returned.

It’s from The Pantry and the product code is 68315.

Aldi released the following statement:

“As a precautionary measure we are recalling a single batch of Moroccan Almond Extract as it has been incorrectly labelled as Madagascan Vanilla Extract. The product contains almond which is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to almonds.”

They added:

“Customers are asked to return this product to the nearest store, where a full refund will be given.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your co-operation.”
