Look, you never know what you’re going to find when you open your child’s nappy.
It could be solids. It could be liquids. It could be unlike anything you’ve ever seen before.
In the case of mum Jaci Dyess Iles, it certainly was something she had never seen before – kind of in the best way possible.
The mum wrote on Facebook that she was changing her son’s nappy when she noticed some red stains inside of it. As a nurse, she became worried that Drew had passed blood, but then she saw it.
The red jelly bean stuck to his testicle.
Honestly.
On Facebook, she wrote:
“Putting babies in the bath and I pull down Drew’s diaper to find a huge red spot where he has peed. So my first nursing thoughts are “oh my gosh.. okay, this is fresh new blood. Does he have a cut? Is he passing some sort of stone? (He had been complaining about his back hurting)
“Then what to my wondering eyes should appear but a little ole Starburst jelly bean stuck to his ball sac… He was hiding them earlier because Sassy (baby sister) was trying to steal them and apparently one got left behind..
“He was mostly upset because I wouldn’t let him eat it but he’s all washed up now and hopefully the genitals are only stained red for a day or two.”
Yeah a day or two isn’t too bad, like. Could be worse.
Anyway, people were fairly shocked (and delighted) by the presence of the red jelly bean – so much so that they gave the post 104,000 likes.
