Fans are convinced that William and Kate’s Instagram is a dig at Meghan Markle.
Kensington Palace shared an Instagram post recently to mark Queen Elizabeth’s 93rd birthday but fans quickly spotted that one person is missing.
The image shared to mark the monarch’s birthday is missing Meghan Markle and people have been very quick to point out that the Duchess of Sussex hasn’t been included.
Some royal fans are surprised that the image used was from the Trooping the Colour celebrations in 2016…before Meghan was introduced to the royal family.

The caption for this post reads “Wishing a very happy 93rd birthday to Her Majesty The Queen” but instead of congratulating the Queen, people are more focused on the fact that Meghan Markle doesn’t feature in the birthday post.
Most said the same thing and asked why a photo with Meghan wasn’t used but others commented that it wasn’t a big deal and that the Queen’s birthday is far more important.
It’s probably just a coincidence that this was the photo used but given the speculation of a feud between Meghan and Kate and indeed Harry and William, people are eager to share their thoughts.
One user said the choice of this image added “fuel to the fire” and another described it as “#royal passive-aggressive”, ouch.
The description for the Kensington Palace Instagram says that it is “the official account of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, based at Kensington Palace” while Meghan and Harry now have their own account with Sussex Royal.
