The baby was left in the car for several hours.
A three-month-old baby boy has tragically died after he was left in a hot car for hours.
Allegheny County Police confirmed the baby’s parents left him in the vehicle for several hours.
Police in Upper Saint Clair, Pennsylvania were called to a house at 5 pm on Thursday, June 16th.
The infant was found unresponsive in a minivan.
He has been identified as Kayden Nguyen.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and tried to resuscitate the baby.
However, it was too late and he was pronounced dead after a half hour.
It was 92 degrees when the child was left in the car.
Following the child’s harrowing death, officers issued a statement.
“Upper Saint Clair police determined the infant was left inside a parent’s vehicle for several hours and requested homicide detectives.”
“Detectives are working to confirm the timeline of events through surveillance video in the area.
“They are also downloading and reviewing data from the vehicle’s onboard computer.”
Nobody has been arrested in connection with the baby’s death.
The child’s father has also not been identified.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has warned parents to never leave their children alone in the car, especially in hot weather.
Baby Kayden Nguyen was the fifth child to die after being left in a car in hot weather in the US this year.
