KFC will pay you €9,500 if you name your baby after Colonel Sanders

We're not joking.

When it comes to naming your baby, it's safe to say a lot of thought goes into it. Whether you want it to be sentimental, modern or unique, you have to make sure that you and your partner are happy with it as it's something that you'll be saying for the rest of your life. But, would you go so far as to name your baby after Colonel Sanders? KFC is running a competition for parents which will see them winning $11,000 (€9,500) if they name their baby Harland. Harland is the Colonel's first name, and there's a few rules if you want to win the money. First of all, the money will go towards your child's college fund so you're not going to just have 11 grand to splash. Secondly, it's to the first baby who is named Harland on September 9. Entries are not yet open, however it looks like the competition is only available to those living in the US. You can still check out the website here. It's a weird one, right?
