Parents will go to extreme lengths to soothe their child.

If you’re a parent, you’ll immediately find some relatability in the headline – you’ll try anything once you’ve experienced a certain amount of crying.

A mum who reached these high levels of desperation to quiet her baby and decided to press play on her favourite artist: Beyonce.

Using Queen Bee as a hack was something that was recommended by a fellow TikTok follower to Naya Perry (@jchellestryingherbest), whose son, Lucio, was unable to be settled.

The mum, who listened to Beyonce quite a bit while pregnant with her son, had no idea how successful her music would prove in parenting.

In a clip uploaded to the video platform, as soon as he hears her singing voice, he stops crying.

According to his mother, he ‘absolutely loves her’, likely making Lucio the youngest member of the ‘Beehive’ (Queen Bey’s fanbase).

“My son decided to eat up the mute challenge with Beyonce,” Naya jokes.

“He absolutely loves her whenever he hears her and will just automatically stop crying. I’d say that he is definitely a part of the ‘Beehive.'”

Following this successful and very random parenting hack, users have begged for Naya to introduce other artists to see how Lucio reacts.

“They request different genres of music for him to react to whether it’s classical music, Afro beats, Beyonce, Dua Lipa, or Nicki Minaj, who he also loves,”

“I’ve noticed he loves music that is fast. I think he likes the movement.”

This is given Naya’s online career in content creation a major boost as the music requests from followers just keep coming.

“So, I had a TikTok before I became a mum but I didn’t really post that much. I then became a single mum, and of course, had to deal with my son on my own. I love music, so I’d always have it on at home,” Naya explained.

“The first time I did it was to a Spanish song and he just loved it, so that’s when I decided to start playing different music to see how it worked.”

The music requests have also helped the mum to understand her son better, learning what music soothes him and what music makes him more upset.

“It’s so much fun because it’s interesting for me too to see how he’s going to react,” said Naya.

“Is it going to make him stop crying? Is he going to keep on crying or get worse? It’s great but it’s also overwhelming sometimes because I don’t want to miss anybody’s requests!”

Beyonce may be a parenting hack worth trying for us all!
