Pop culture has always been an inspiration for parents-to-be looking for the perfect baby name. From films and TV shows to books, it has been a great baby naming source for parents to pull from.
Most recently one TV show, in particular, has caught the imagination of parents in a big way and that show is Game of Thrones. While for years parents have chosen to name their children after various characters, the most recent episode has caused a surge in the number of parents choosing the name Arya.

Already a beloved character, Arya Stark rose to new levels of popularity when she felled one of the shows biggest villains.
Thanks to her bravery and general kick-ass girl power attitude there has been an influx of people taking to Twitter to vow to name their daughters Arya.

Arya is already a really pretty name and now it’s associated with the saviour of Game of Thrones so you can’t go wrong really.
