"To anyone who has an issue with maternity solutionwear, and if you haven’t been pregnant before you may not know the struggle of what it’s like carrying all of this weight the way I did along with millions of strong women, @skims maternity line is not to slim but to support."
Many other Twitter users came to Kim's defense, even stating that support for pregnant bellies is not a new thing;
"Sorry ladies but shape wear for pregnant women is not a new thing. They sell them at maternity shops all over. I wore one through both of my pregnancy. It held my baby belly up while wearing dresses."This is exactly what I thought the first time I saw the collection as I used something similar during my pregnancies to help take pressure off my back. As a mum I don't think there's anything wrong with Kim's new collection. I don't think it's shapewear and I actually think it's great that she has included so many skin tones in the collection as that doesn't happen often enough.
