Mum nails the reason why your first pregnancy is SO different to the rest

Jade Hayden

She knows.

Esther Anderson is a mum who blogs. She also has three kids.

Understandably, each of Esther’s pregnancies were different – her body reacted differently, she felt different, a different kind of baby came out, etc.

Recently, Esther decided to sum up the key differences between your first pregnancy and your most recent pregnancy – whenever that might have been.

What she came up was so painfully relatable and basically correct that we couldn’t help but agree totally.

First, Esther described what generally happens when someone asks how big your baby is during your first pregnancy.

Esther said: “Right now she’s like 14.8 inches, 2 pounds, and 4.5 ounces. She’s the size of a Chinese cabbage!”

Adorable.

Then, however, everything changes when she’s asked during her third pregnancy.

“Uhh, medium sized,” she says.

Lovely.

Esther then went on to talk about how her diet changed during her first pregnancy.

Basically, a lot: “Absolutely no lunch meats, no feta cheeses, no sprouts, absolutely no caffeine,” she said.

This, understandably, was not the case for her third as she can be seen eating a donut and washing it down with a giant mug of coffee.

Which she needed to survive, clearly.

There is one aspect of pregnancy that both Esthers can agree on though – that they’re looking forward to meeting their baby girl.

Adorable.
