Mum shares photos after toddler accidentally pulls tooth out with tape

Melissa Carton

This is horrifying.

As the old adage goes, a quiet toddler is a suspicious toddler. Having two kids myself, one currently a toddler, I know this to be true.

A quiet toddler is often found covered in marker or head to toe in your new moisturiser and has left chaos in their wake.

Saying that I’ve never had my toddler walk up to me, bloodied and carrying a roll of sticky tape with their tooth attached to it like this parent.

Family days – tried and tested posted photos to their Facebook page recently showing the aftermath of a toddler trying to use electrical tape.

“Tonight the 3 year old presented herself to me covered in blood with a roll of electrical tape in hand that had her tooth attached to it….she’d been covering an award she’d made for me with it and had tried to rip the tape using her teeth and it pulled it clean out.”

Ouch!

Other parents commented shocked that a three-year-old was able to pull out their tooth this way;

“Oh my!!! I’m a dentist and know those things need a blooming good budge that is a cracker!! And a piece of childhood art that can never be scrapped.”

I was in an accident when I was little and knocked out some of my teeth so seeing these photos brought back some very gummy memories for me.

At least it was just this toddler’s baby tooth that was pulled out. Hopefully, her parents will buy her some glue sticks for her next craft project so they don’t end up with any more toothy surprises.
