‘Raw and unflinching honesty’
Prince William’s memoir, Spare will finally be released on January 10th and it’s safe to day we’re excited to get our hands on it.
In fact, nobody call us that day. We’re busy.
The royal has been more honest than most, when it comes to his family and its treatment of him, and indeed his wife Meghan. (#teamMeg by the way)
In the controversially-named ‘Spare’, a title which presumably refers to Harry’s position as brother to the person first in line to the throne, Harry is set to reveal truths about the institution of the royal family and the players involved in his very unique experiences.
The closer we get to publication date, the more titbits come to light. And the more excited we get – the more fearful the royal family are surely becoming? And they’re possibly right to be. In fact, a source told the Sunday Times this week, “Generally, I think the book will be far worse for them than the Royal Family is expecting. Everything is laid bare.”
*rubs palms together*
Harry has made no secret of the strained relationship he has with his father, so fans may be surprised to hear that “Charles comes out of it better than expected.”
“I personally can’t see how Harry and William will be able to reconcile after this.”
The same, it seems, can’t be said for the heir himself, Harry’s older brother: “William, in particular, and even Kate gets a bit of a broadside. There are these minute details, and a description of a fight between the brothers. I personally can’t see how Harry and William will be able to reconcile after this.”
The predicted shitstorm has lead people to further question the book’s inflammatory title. It’s easy to imagine why Harry may have felt ‘spare’ in his position within the royal family, but are we to believe the phrase was coined by someone other than the ginger prince?
Many are now speculating the book will reveal that William used the word during a bitter disagreement. Wouldn’t that be juicy?
Time will tell. Meet you in the book shop on the 10th!
