Met Éireann predicts highs of 29 degrees.
Met Éireann has issued a weather warning to people living in Leinster and Munster.
Temperatures are expected to increase into the late 20s in the coming days.
The public has been told to be extremely cautious as the heatwave is set to last until Sunday.
Met Éireann confirmed that temperatures will be between 27 and 29 degrees.
They will also remain high at night with an average temperature of 15 degrees.
"Very warm or hot on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with maximum temperatures generally of 27 to 29 degrees.
"Warm at night with temperatures generally staying above 15 degrees. Daytime temperatures may not be as high in coastal areas due to sea breezes."

There will be a High Solar UV index during the coming days meaning your risk of sunburn is higher. You should wear sunscreen throughout the day. You should also continuously top up your sunscreen multiple times a day.
People, especially the vulnerable, should also stay out of the sun between 11 am and 3 pm.
Elderly and vulnerable members of society are also at a greater risk of suffering from heat stress.
Met Éireann has also asked the public to be vigilant if they're visiting beaches and lakes. The risk of water-related incidents is higher during warm weather.
This warning remains in place until 6 am on Sunday, August 14th.
