This may be one of the funniest newborn picture we’ve ever seen.
Lucy Hellein shared a photo of her newborn baby on Facebook over the weekend and it has already been shared over 72,000 times.
The stunning photo shows newborn Dexter holding onto something very peculiar- his mother’s contraceptive implant.
“Mirena fail,” read the caption on the hilarious image.
The mother had been through two coils before her third one failed just three weeks after it was inserted.
Hearing the news of her pregnancy in December left Lucy worried about the effects the coil might have on her unborn baby.
However, during an ultrasound, the OB couldn’t find her coil so they presumed it had fallen out, leading her to fall pregnant.
But that wasn’t quite the case. During the new mum’s C-section, doctors found the lost coil and couldn’t resist giving it to the newborn and capturing the hilarious picture.
Born a week early, doctors joked that Dexter was a determined little guy, saying:
“The force was strong with this one”.
