Little girl starts literal ‘toasting’ tradition for NYE and honestly it’s better than prosecco

This is so cute.

Parenthood brings you down a new road when it comes to celebrating New Year’s Eve.

It no longer becomes about going out to a club or a cocktail bar to ring in the countdown but about spending time at home cuddling up with the kids and enjoying the celebrations with family.

Since having my kids I usually invite family members around to have a couple of drinks and some food and we all toast together come the strike of midnight.

One little girl however decided to put her own spin on toasting and honestly I like her idea much better.

A post shared by the girl’s parent described how she had been told that at midnight they would toast the New Year so naturally like any child she took that literally and came looking for toast.

Now instead of raising a glass to the New Year her family has started the tradition of making toast for the countdown and I am one hundred per cent on board for this new change.

Prosecco and champagne are fine but bread will always win out for me.

Add to that the options of toppings including jam and chocolate spread and it’s no contest, I will be entering 2020 stuffing my face with toast.
