10 Gorgeous Family-Friendly Irish Airbnb Houses (For The BEST Staycation Ever)

Laura Holland

Have you stayed in any of these amazing Irish rental houses?

Out of the three million listings internationally, the top ten family-friendly properties put on Irish users’ wish lists are all in Ireland. They could travel the world and see a variety of places but it turns out they prefer what’s on offer at home.

The wish list function on Airbnb lets people share properties with their family and friends and also return to book that property at a later date.

The folks over at Airbnb have worked out which family-friendly properties have been wish-listed the most by Irish users and we can see why some of them are so popular.

Many of the houses in the top ten list have unique architectural appeal and include a modern eco house, an 18th century thatched mill cottage and a 200-year-old estate house. Get ready to swoon (and start booking….. NOW!).

Here is the top ten list:

1.  Atlantic Sea View, Sligo

2. Stunning Lake View, Eco House, Galway

3. 18th Century Refurbished Barn, Wexford

4. Enchanting Mill Cottage, Kilkenny

5. 100 Year Old Cottage, Cork

6. Seafront Peninsula House, West Cork

7. Restored Pre-Famine Cottage, Galway

8. Seaside Cottage, Cork

9. Thatched Irish Cottage, Kerry

10. Converted Stable Yard, Dublin

Commenting on the results James McClure, General Manager of Northern Europe for Airbnb, said,

“Airbnb offers family holidays that can transform and enrich kids’ lives and we encourage families to expand their horizons, even if that’s simply by ‘wishlisting’ their favourite travel fantasies.

From thatched cottages to eco houses, it’s evident that Irish families are attracted to unique architectural design and immersive natural environments to unlock a magical experience for every family holiday. With different homes that suit different personalities such as food lovers, beach lovers and adventure seekers, we’re confident that Airbnb can provide accommodation to suit tastes for all the family.”
