As we are painfully aware, it’s going to be a rainy Bank Holiday Weekend.
Looking to keep the little ones entertained for a few hours without having to face the miserable weather conditions forecasted for the long weekend? The cinema might be your best bet!
This weekend, there are a range of kids movies on show, so it may be a good activity to get them out of the house without getting caught in the rain.
Unlikely friends, super smart mouse, Pattie, and her feline friend, Sam, are on an exciting adventure through ancient Greece with a little assistance from ageing hero, Jason. Intertwined with Greek mythology, they are on a mission to prevent the demise of their city, Iolcos, from Poseidon himself.
Epic Tails is an educational comedy as it features Greek Gods of Mount Olympus, including Zeus, Poseidon and Aphrodite, voiced by Rob Beckett, Giovanna Fletcher, and Josh Widdicombe.
It will be showing at certain Odeon Cinema locations.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Walt Disney’s masterpiece will be on show in the Stella Cinema and the Lighthouse Cinema this weekend. To celebrate 100 years of Disney, families will have the oppourtunity to watch this feel-good classic on the big screen.
For those unaware of the storyline, it tells the tale of the beautiful princess, Snow White, who is taken in by a septet of dwarves, who work as miners, each with their own humorous and unique personality from which they each get their moniker.
A number cinemas will be celebrating the Disney classic this weekend.
Puffin Rock and the New Friends
This long weekend, you and your little ones can follow the tale of Mona and her friends who are in search of the final Little Egg. As a storm builds towards their home of Puffin Rock, their adventure is a race against the clock to save the Little Egg and island.
A story of belonging, courage, and friendship, with sing-songs, your kids are sure to love it.
The Little Mermaid
The live action about the beloved Disney mermaid princess Ariel has been welcomed with open arms by parents and kids alike. Most of us grew up loving the story which takes place in the Kingdom of Atlantic, located on the bed of the Atlantic Ocean.
It’ll be a full circle moment taking your kids to see the aquatic fantasy coming to life, complete with the same music for you both to singalong to.
A true childhood callback.
Omniplex Cinema locations still have viewings to see Ariel, Flounder, Sebastian & Co.
Indian Jones and the Dial of Destiny
For the older kids, there are also some movies on show right now that will distract them from the rainy displays outside.
Harrison Ford reclaims his role as archaeology extrodanaire, Indiana Jones in this fifth film of the iconic franchise. Jones returns to rewrite the course of history, with the help of his goddaughter Helena (Phoebe Waller-Brigde).
This one will be a nostalgic hit for parents, as well as a exciting watch for preteens.
