There is apparently an EXACT time your children should be going to bed (according to their age)

Bedtime routines gone to the dogs over Christmas?

You are not alone.

I reckon most of us are in the same boat this weekend, desperately trying to establish some sort of normality and schedule before real life kicks off again this Monday.

The thing is, though, when it comes to bedtime, did you know that apparently, there is an exact time your kids should be going to bed – based on both their age and what time they get up in the morning.

According to Mumsnet, a school in the US recently produced a very detailed chart which says EXACTLY when your child should be getting the zzzs, and the chart was soon shared thousands of times on Facebook and gathered many, many comments from intrigued, bemused and flat out impressed parents.

What do you think, parents? Does this look realistic to you?

The comments the post gathered lead us to believe that parents are divided on this, with some thinking the chart is brilliant – while others thinking LOL-ing at the notion this would work in their house:

One parent said:

“My guess: a very small percentage of schoolchildren do this!!!”

Another one was more positive to the idea, commenting:

“AMEN! Stop taking your little ones out to dinner at 8-9pm and expecting them to behave!!! They are tired and need their sleep! Not a loud restaurant!!’

Where do you stand on this?
