Some of these are absolutely stunning names!
Baby name trends for 2024 are forecast to see names that would generally be given to baby girls now used to name baby boys.
A shift in society’s perceptions of gender as well as influential celebrities giving traditionally female monikers to their sons are at the root of why this baby name trend is set to take off in 2024.
This is according to Sophie Kihm, Editor-in-Chief of Nameberry.com, the world’s largest site for names and identity, who says the likes of Chrissy Teigen and Rihanna giving their sons more feminine names are popularising and normalising this trend.
Teigen and her husband, John Legend, named their son, born via surrogacy in June, Wren Alexander, and Rihanna and A$AP Rocky welcomed a baby boy in August, whom they named Riot Rose.
“For most of recent history, masculine names could become feminine, but not the other way around. Now that’s starting to change alongside society’s views of gender,” Kihm explains.
