A woman discovered her husband was cheating on her and had a whole other family through the baby announcements in her local paper.
In a viral TikTok trend, scorned spouses duet a video that says “tell me how you found out your ex-spouse was cheating on you”.
One woman made a video response saying she had a “great story” to share about how she found out her husband was a cheater right ahead of their ten-year wedding anniversary.
“So about a week before our 10th wedding anniversary, I was in my office, looking through the newspaper. At that time in the newspaper, they would publish birth announcements,” she explained.
“They would tell the parent’s names, sex of the baby, the date they were born, what hospital, and if it was a boy or a girl. So I see my husbands name, and some other female’s name. I know it’s his name because it’s an unusual name,” she shared.
The woman looked up the hospital website as she knew they uploaded pictures of the new babies and their families.
“I typed in his name and her first name, sure enough, they had a baby boy a few days prior. But not only that, they had a baby girl about a year and a half before that,” she added.
“So yeah, that’s how I found out I was being cheated on.”
Her video has received over 200,000 likes, attracting a variety of comments from other gobsmacked TikTok users.
